FBO Installation Incentive Program

OPERATING PROCEDURES

Effective on Orders Received January 1, 2007 or after

DEFINITION OF A FIXED BASE OPERATOR (“INSTALLER”) OR OVERHAUL PROVIDER:

  1. Installer must operate as a business entity, having facilities sufficient to accomplish engine removals and installations on varied certificated airframes, either as an FAA Part 145 Certified Repair Station (CRS) or performing maintenance on applicable aircraft In accordance with FAR Part 43.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. The “INSTALLER” must enroll with Lycoming by providing the information requested on the Lycoming Installation Incentive Program Enrollment form.
  2. The “INSTALLER” is required to submit the enrollment information directly to Lycoming for review. The Lycoming Regional Manager responsible for the “INSTALLER’s” region will make final determination about the “INSTALLER’s” qualification for the program.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

  1. Requests for Installation Incentive must be submitted to Lycoming within 120 days of shipment from the factory. Lycoming will not honor requests received after 120 days. Note: The “INSTALLER” is responsible to timely submit the properly completed request for rebate.
  2. Upon receipt of the Installation Incentive request, along with a copy of the Lycoming provided (Engine Certificate form 777B, 2480 or 2481), logbook entry of installation by installer, and verification of the correct operable core being returned for a specific New, Zero-Time Rebuilt or Factory Overhaul engine, Lycoming will initiate a payment (in Lycoming Bucks) to the “INSTALLER” in the amount of $100 per cylinder of the installed New or Zero-Time Rebuilt engine or $75 per cylinder of the installed Factory Overhaul engine. See attached “checklist” of required documents.

  3. If the “INSTALLER” is installing an engine for a registered Fleet Operator as defined under Lycoming’s Fleet Operator Program, the “INSTALLER” is not eligible for the Installation Incentive.
  4. If the “INSTALLER” is also a Fleet Operator as defined under Lycoming’s Fleet Operator Program, the Fleet Operator is not eligible to receive both the Fleet Rebate and the Installation Incentive on New, Zero-Time Rebuilt or Factory Overhaul engines. In these cases, the Fleet Operator is required to apply for the Fleet Rebate.
  5. ONLY ONE REBATE WILL BE ISSUED PER ENGINE SERIAL NUMBER:
  6. Engines sold under this Program will be covered by the standard Lycoming warranty.
  7. Exchange cores must be complete and in operable condition. The core serial number must be listed on the Installation Incentive Request Form. The applicable core must be received by Lycoming either at the factory or one of its consolidation points in Australia or Belgium.
    Incentive requests will not be processed without confirmed receipt of the exchange engine core.
  8. ALL INSTALLER INCENTIVES SHALL BE ISSUED USING LYCOMING BUCKS. LYCOMING BUCKS ARE RE-DEEMABLE THROUGH ANY AUTHORIZED LYCOMING DISTRIBUTOR.
  9. Lycoming reserves the right to make changes or terminate this program at any time.

INSTALLATION INCENTIVE REQUEST PROCEDURE

  1. Within 120 days of shipment of the replacement engine from the factory, the “INSTALLER” shall furnish to Lycoming a copy of the applicable engine installation log book entry, showing the Lycoming (Engine Certificate form 777B, 2480 or 2481), a completed copy of the Factory Return Material Authorization (RMA) Worksheet (Form2500) for the exchange engine core being returned and a completed Installation Rebate Request Form which clearly indicates the following:
    1. Installer’s name
    2. Installer’s Lycoming supplied ID number:
    3. Contact Name:
    4. Phone number:
    5. New Engine Serial Number 6. Exchange Core Serial Number
    6. Core shipment Bill of Lading #
    7. A/C Owner’s name
    8. A/C Registration
    9. A/C Serial Number
  2. Upon receipt of the Installation rebate request form and verification of the correct operable engine core being returned, Lycoming will initiate the corresponding payment (in Lycoming Bucks) per the above listed schedule directly to the “INSTALLER” unless this practice conflicts with existing laws.
  3. Lycoming may consider, at its sole discretion, any requests for waiver of the terms and conditions of this Installation Incentive request procedure.
